Thank you Ed. The only changes I'd have made: in the lower settlement I'd have walls down, Roofs caved in. An ugly gary mist writhing round and ugly black smoke spewing from the 'industrial' towers. You might alsoihave ncluded some beady-eyed rats peering down fro the ramparts. We need more artists like you.

I read you in the Garden island News, Forum page- Kauai. We get it in black and white. I thanked our Editors for the inclusion.

Come visit me.

Peace and love Bettejo Dux

Did I mention that HW also increased taxes when he saw the mess he inherited? Too bad people don't see the same when it comes to POTUS Obama.

Please no more mention of Reagan. I'm tired of tripping over people when his name is menitoned and they genuflect in unison.

Too bad they have no idea that he increased taxes 11 times, increased the debt more than all the POTUS before, pro life a few years earlier, signed the 1986 Immigration Reform Act, etc. If they knew this they would vomit at his name.

Ross--it's likely the product of how world-class political cartoonists see and interpret the world (especially a world populated by lightweights, loud mouthed charlatans and clowns like Romney and Gingrich (or Little Ricky Perry).

Where is your 'toon on the current situation? I don't remember seeing it published in any newspapers or other media.

Great 'toon, but i Willard the Mitts or Newtie the Rake or any of the other clowns that have been vying for the Republican nomination for President were to get the nod, it wouldn't be the Blushing Bride Elephant that might get um, err, what one does with a lightlight-bulb, but, instead it would be the American people and our Commonweal.

Willard the Mitts is bringing to life the US Republican and conservative's standard: Knuckleheads are as knuckleheads do.

But Newtie the Rake makes the hookers look good (and honest) who get arrested and then claim before the judge they weren't doing "THAT". A historian for $1.6 Mill/per---Right (happens everywhere every day.).

Do the Republicans really want to nominate some guy who is so out of it that he went after a Pres. for triflin' while himself concurrently engaging in triflin' , and then not even learning or grasping during the process that claiming he didn't have sex with THAT woman was not exactly the thing to say. (Hmmmm, maybe so.)

I wasn't a lobbyist for that company--Riiiiiiight, Newtie!

Cool: i found it, best resolution!
"Its a library honey - kind of an early version of the world wide web." by Ed Stein 1996.

..hey search engines still have some trouble to read the text included in a picture, thats why i had trouble to find the pic. Finally, Ed Stein + 2006 made it.

For me - as a computer scientist - the comic is still relevant. It makes me wonder: what will be after the www. The good old world wide web, invented by Tim Berner Lee, is considered to be the web of documents, comparable to a library, the next level is seen to be the web of data. Maybe i will use the cartoon as an opener of my thesis about semantic web and linked open data.

Thanx.
