Well, it’s nice to know that the recession has actually been over for a while. Who would have guessed, what with homes still being foreclosed, the unemployment rate hovering near 10%, and an angry populace wondering where the recovery is. Apparently it’s possible to have a recession end without one.

I watched people admit that their insurance companies paid for private fire fighters to protect their homes in the Boulder fires. Why do people buy into this inane sense that those who pay more deserve more than the “other” people? We all pay taxes for that very reason, to level the playing field.
Privitize the military, you use people and manipulate people who are very young, inexperienced and need a job. The wealthy don’t fall into that catagory so who dies?
Privitize the fire department and million dollar homes get covered while a $100,000 plus home can burn — because “those” people don’t have anything therefore, they have nothing to loose? What is the difference between your family photos and theirs? What is the difference between the amount of money it takes for you to rebuild compared to what it takes for them to rebuild. If they can afford $7000 a month for insurance and you can’t, why don’t they pay more taxes and level the field so that everyone has a better chance to servive intact. Are the wealthy better than you? I think they would like for you to buy into the idea that you are what you pay for and “civil society” is only for those who can afford it.
To be damned honest about it, it’s like the moffia, you pay or you die. That’s not civilized.
If you lie, cheat and steal your way to being “wealthy” or inherit your money, that does not make you and yours better, smarter, more likable, sweeter, more worthy of life than anyone else.
These people have worked a long time to decieve people into what I call “back-ward thinking”. It’s kind of like when the guy that got shot by Dick Cheany, appologized for being in the way of Cheany’s gun. Duhhhhh, Cheany was drinking and not paying attention to anyone but his own selfish wants and desires, ergo he shot someone — in the face. Because he is “wealthy” and “connected” he was not arrested, he was not fined, but the guy did make sure that he said he was sorry for being in the “way”?
It’s time for “backward thinking” to be exposed for what it is, cheating, lying and tricking people for the idol of their choice, money.
I’m looking forward to your cartoons. There is a lot of territory to cover and the lady that thinks you are “too political” needs to get her head out of the sand and stop letting people persuade her she is only a door mat. Later

A great cartoon, Ed and thanks for telling it like it is.

Have you received your health insurance premium recently? I just got mine today with an increase of $60.00. and that is just for supplement insurance.
