I certainly don't think you are naive.

I also believe that the "let's just start all over" business used by opponents is disingenuous at best.

However, if you were going to accomplish the goal of health care for all, what would your plan be?

I think it is very, very, rare that anyone would be found who would not want health care for all, and that has no regard for the well being of their fellow citizens. However, such is a common accusation put forth by proponents of current health care reform towards those who oppose it. The debate is about what is currently being proposed as the way to health care for all, not whether or not all people should have health care.

But maybe I am just naive.

Sam, I think you mis-read my post, sorry if it is poorly worded. I am definitely for health care reform. I wasn't referring to myself.

To me it is truly mind-boggling that that some one can believe that it is not OK to provide health care to all our citizens. Obviously you are not Christian nor any religion that cares about all human beings. I am not religious myself but still care about the well being of my fellow human beings. I was born and raised in Europe (Ireland) and am shocked when I meet Americans with this this opinion. Its just not American. How were you raised?. Do you really only care only about yourself. Perhaps you are very wealthy and don't see yourself getting into a situation where you might go bankrupt because of health problems

On top of the human toll of our military personnel, another $30 billion added to the $1 trillion we've spent on these "wars". To some, this is money well spent but it's not ok to provide health care to all our citizens. It is truly mind-boggling, when you think about it.
