Okay, I guilted myself into drawing one today. I couldn’t figure out how to address three unrelated multiple murders in different parts of the world, so I chose the resurgence of the IRA. Although it involved the lowes body count of the three attacks, the others were isolated incidents. If a renegade branch of the IRA begins another wave of terror, the ultimate damage will be far greater than anything a series of deranged gunmen might inflict.

Mr Stein, the IRA is not rising from the grave, the so-called Real IRA is claiming responsibility for the current muders. RIRA is a small, splinter group which broke years ago from the IRA (“Provos”). The IRA still observes the cease fire it unilaterally instituted in the 1990′s and has decommisioned its weaponry to the satisfaction of independent observers.
